The rubber elastomer in the butterfly valve will tear, wear, age, perforate and even fall off during continuous use. The traditional hot vulcanization process is difficult to adapt to the needs of on-site repair, and special equipment is required for repair, which consumes a lot of heat and electricity, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Today, the method of polymer composite materials is gradually used to replace the traditional method, and the most used one is the Fushilan technology system. The superior adhesion and excellent wear and tear resistance of its products ensure that the service life of new components can be reached or even exceeded after repair, and downtime is greatly reduced.

Installation and maintenance

1. During installation, the valve disc should stop in the closed position.

2. The opening position should be determined according to the rotation angle of the butterfly plate.

3. For butterfly valves with bypass valves, the bypass valve should be opened before opening.

4. It should be installed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. For butterfly valves with heavy weight, a firm foundation should be set up.

Construction and installation points

1. The installation position, height, and direction of import and export must meet the design requirements, and the connection should be firm and tight. All kinds of manual valves installed on the thermal insulation pipeline, the handle shall not be downward.

2. Visual inspection must be carried out before the valve is installed, and the nameplate of the valve should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Mark" GB 12220. For the valve whose working pressure is greater than 1.0 MPa and plays the role of cutting off the main pipe, the strength and tight performance test should be carried out before installation, and it is allowed to be used after passing the test. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the duration is not less than 5 minutes. The valve housing and packing should be qualified without leakage. During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test pressure should meet the requirements of GB 50243 during the duration of the test, and the sealing surface of the valve disc is qualified if there is no leakage.

Product selection points

1. The main control parameter of butterfly valve is size.

2. The butterfly valve is a single-plate air valve, which is simple in structure, convenient in processing, low in cost and easy in operation, but has poor adjustment accuracy, and is only suitable for on-off or rough adjustment in ventilation and air-conditioning systems.

3. It can be operated manually, electrically or by zipper, and can be fixed at any angle within the range of 90°.

4. Due to the single shaft and single valve plate, the bearing capacity is limited, and the service life of the valve is short under the conditions of large pressure difference and large flow rate. The valve is divided into closed type and ordinary type, thermal insulation and non-thermal insulation.

5. The electric butterfly valve has only two-position control, and the electric actuator is the same as that of the multi-leaf valve.

Installation matters

Butterfly valve has simple structure, small volume, light weight, and its components are relatively small. Only a few key parts can constitute a butterfly valve, and it is very convenient to open it. You only need to select the switch to 90 degrees. The control of the fluid is very good, and the flow can be increased or decreased at any time. The valve has a certain resistance when transporting any fluid, and the resistance of the butterfly valve mainly comes from itself, such as the thickness of the butterfly valve body. The resistance just needs to be reduced in its thickness.

Elastomeric seals have the disadvantage of being limited by temperature.

Butterfly valves have a wide range of applications. If they are used to control flow, you need to choose different types and valve body sizes, because butterfly valves are more suitable for valves with larger diameters when they are designed. Butterfly valves are not only widely used in general industries such as petroleum, gas, chemical, and water treatment, but also in cooling water systems in thermal power plants.
